Cathy is a writer and author with several projects under her belt.

As a former All-American high school athlete, Cathy knew early on that she wasn't cut out
for the nine to five type of job - her tendency to day dream about adventures often got in the
way. But, being the daughter of a Navy Veteran she also knew one had to do what was
necessary to be secure, so she disciplined herself to push those dreams aside and
settled on working in the entertainment legal field. When those dreams invaded her world
once again, Cathy finally gave in and set out to write her own adventures. What the heck,
right. If you can't live 'em, you might as well write about them.
The journey started with the hopes of completing a novel regarding firefighters. Wanting to
get a first-hand look at the authenticity of the actual tasks of a firefighter, she traveled to
firehouses on both the west and east coasts, and observed several months of training at
big city Fire Academies.

While on the east coast, she was granted permission from the Boston and New York Fire
Commissioners to virtually reside at a firehouse and ride along with members of one of
the busiest ladder companies in the respective cities. She also traveled around with
members of the Fire Service on both coasts; where she not only observed, but participated
in, various rescue and terrorist training practices. When the catastrophic events of
September 11, 2001 occurred - none of us will ever forget the horrific events of that day, or
the pained looks on the first responders as they rushed into those towers - but capitalizing
on horrific events was not something Cathy had hoped to achieve, so she put off the
project to a later date.

In the meantime, Cathy interviewed several big city detectives about their lives on the job
and completed a series of fiction novels based on real-life events. The crimes themselves
may not surprise you, but some of the perpetrators involved with the crimes would
astonish you.  Again, the books are works of fiction, only based on real life events, but you
can't help but wonder while reading the books, which parts are, in fact, true...

While pursuing the fiction novels, Cathy was told to consider writing screenplays. So,
using a family of firefighters she met in Boston, and actual incidents that occurred in the
City, she added a fictional plot, and the action/drama, FAMILY OF JAKE'S, was born.  Since
then, she has written several other screenplays, some of which have placed high in
several contests, and one which led to her being approached for a project called 7
SCOUTS. For the 7 Scouts, Cathy penned a Treatment and Screenplay entitled “THE 7
SCOUTS AND THE MYSTERY OF THE COMMIE SPIES” for a webisode series and future
film. When she was offered associate producer status and 5% ownership of the project,
she developed a blog, teaser trailers, scripts of back stories for the characters, website,
Twitter and Facebook fan pages.

When the producer ran into trouble getting funds for his webisode series, Cathy offered to
write a novel and comic to create a buzz for the project. She has copyright protection of ALL
materials she supplied for the project. Due to legal issues he faced in 2010, Sterling Long-
Colbo sent an email stating the publication of the project was on hold, so Cathy returned
to developing her own projects until things were ironed out.

She is currently in the process of having her own series published. New websites, book
teasers and blog pages are being produced, and they will make their debut, real soon...

Thank you to all her friends and followers for their patience and support during the journey.
